The safest way to pick up the children is to follow the above procedure. If you
must pick your child up from the gym, please use the yellow walkway parallel to
the elementary building, go through the playground and use the crosswalk to
enter into the middle school parking lot at the East end of the Middle School
building. Thank you for keeping the children safe.
The
fourth grade students studied the French influence on early America in
Missouri History. One of the French influences that they focused on was
the way the French built their homes.
The students were assigned to construct a model of a French
house. Several pictures and examples from previous years and actual
French homes in Ste. Genevieve were shown so that the classes could get
some ideas. The criteria for the houses were: vertical
construction of logs or wood, one story high, a steep roof, galleries
(porches) around the house. Extra credit was given for added details
such as fences, gardens and stables. The French homes were shown at the
4th Grade Parent's Night with tremendous enthusiasm from all who came
to view them. |
This 4th Grade student's authentic house in on permanent display in the Visitor's Center in Ste. Genevieve.
