Beautiful weekend days in Eagle Nation call for getting outside and enjoying our campus! This weekend was the perfect time to try out the new pickleball courts, and they’re already getting plenty of use. Whether you're playing a competitive match or just learning the game, it's great to see our community taking advantage of these new courts. Grab a paddle, bring a friend, and come enjoy a game!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Tim Payton, a longtime member of the Grandview R-II family.

Tim joined Grandview in 1999 and served in the maintenance department, eventually becoming Director of Maintenance before retiring in 2020. For more than 20 years, Tim worked behind the scenes to take care of our buildings and grounds, helping ensure our students and staff had a safe and welcoming place to learn each day. His dedication to Grandview and quiet pride in his work made a lasting impact on our district.

Tim will be missed by many across the Grandview community. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Bus Route Update

Attention families with students who ride Bus #8 in the afternoon:

Due to the recent rains, the bridge on Brownsford Rd. is currently impassable. Because of this, afternoon drop-off will run approximately 10 minutes later than normal today.

Additionally, morning pickup times for students who live on Engleford Road, Branch Road, and Ware Lake will also run about 10 minutes later than usual.

If you have any questions please contact the transportation office at 636.944.3941 and choose option 2.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we adjust the route for safety.

While the official day was yesterday, we don’t want to miss the opportunity to recognize and thank our incredible School Resource Officer, Deputy Richard, and his loyal partner, Zeus!

Deputy Richard does so much more than help keep our campus safe. He builds positive relationships with students, supports staff, mentors kids, and serves as a daily reminder that law enforcement is here to help and protect. His steady presence makes a difference every single day.

And of course, Zeus brings both professionalism and personality to our halls — always ready to work and always a favorite among students!

We are truly grateful for their service, dedication, and commitment to Eagle Nation.

If you see Deputy Richard or Zeus, be sure to give them a big thank you!
